DC Row House Restoration

KingCaire construction recently completed the facade restoration of a nineteenth century Victorian row house in Northwest DC. The imposing, two-story brick row house had been modernized some years previously, and the new owners wanted to restore the facade to its period-correct look in order to blend in with the historic neighborhood. While we installed interior drywall and trim, the emphasis was on restoring the facade and preserving original accents.

Our first step in re-mediating the unfortunate updates was to take pattern molds from the neighboring house in order replicate the accents and design of the original facade. Based on these, we fabricated intricate custom window frames which restored the facade to its former glory.

This DC row house restoration is only one example of our craftsmanship in custom carpentry. Click on the gallery below to see how we recreated the ornate and elaborate detail of the facade.
